Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Maryland

Senior Mechanical Engineer needed for Medical Electronics company – a renowned pioneer in wearable electronic health monitoring devices. Will be a key member of the Engineering organization – responsible for Product Development and Project Management. Duties will include:

Development of high level project plans with emphasis on strategy, cost, risks, and project timelines.
Manage and support deliverables from multiple cross functional teams to ensure resources are applied timely to resolve issues and assess opportunities to demonstrate system level integration readiness.
Assess project requirements and manage them completion; identify personnel resources needs and communicate project status, present proposals and recommendations to mitigate logistics concerns to management.
Collaborate with Marketing, Quality & Regulatory, Manufacturing and Clinical functional areas to meet project completion timelines.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, interviews will be conducted online, and employment requires working remotely.

Compensation: $130 - 140K base plus 10% bonus, depending upon experience level

Qualifications:

Minimum BS - Mechanical Engineering (or relevant degree) and 14+ years of experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
Domain background in mechanical assembly for electronic devices, to help proactively identify dependencies between mechanical and electrical requirements.
 Aptitude for detailed project planning with strong team-oriented skills.
 Capable of working on projects involving more than one functional area, to include planning, due diligence, and ensuring timely implementation of strategic programs within company product portfolio.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
Knowledgeable with design tools such as SolidWorks, and familiarity with other design and analytical engineering tools. Familiarity with design process and documentation needed to meet FDA and CE regulatory requirements would be a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
 Self-motivated and able to work remotely.
