Commissioning Manager Renewable Energy Systems
Location: Northern Virginia
Commissioning Manager needed for a leading producer of Renewable Energy systems. Company is renowned for their development of ultra-high capacity energy systems for solar and wind power generation. Their high efficiency systems are deployed worldwide in a vast range of commercial, industrial, and public utility settings.
Will be responsible for defining commissioning plans including scheduling and resourcing; and leading efforts to achieve commercial operations and handover from construction to O&M teams. Define plans and test protocols based on market rules, utility requirements, off-taker contract terms and third party supply contracts. Manage complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of project networks, communications, and control systems; balance of plant relay protection, metering, fire suppression, electrical systems; and battery and inverter subsystems. Lead electricity market and/or off-taker qualification testing.
Compensation: $125 - 155K, depending upon experience level. Relocation is provided.
• BSEE (or relevant degree) with minimum 8+ years of experience in related fields such as construction, commissioning, project management, or engineering services.
• Previous experience with power project commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proven skills in managing contractors and working in a matrix organization on fast moving projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
